The Tot Spot Faculty is a team of 21 caregivers, some of whom work full-time, part-time and on a substitute basis. Our teaching staff is divided into 5 teams with two caregivers per classroom. Each team serves a different age level from infants to kindergarten. The age levels are determined by the North Carolina Public School cut-off date of August 31st. (E.G., the team for the two-year olds would have only children who are 2 on or before August 31st of that school year.

The six teachers working with the 4-year-olds have accumulated the most tenure with the Tot Spot. One member of the team has been with the Tot Spot since its inception 23 years ago. One member of this team has been teaching here for over 20 years, two other members have been teaching here for more than 15 years, and a fourth has more than 10 years of service.

The Tot Spot also has a music teacher that meets with each age group for 30 minutes on Thursdays and Fridays. This staff member is responsible for coordinating music with the seasons, holidays, special units, directing the December musical for parents and presenting the end-of-school year review for parents.
